There was a small surprise in Aleksandrovac where first ranked BosnianIgokea (9-11) won against their close opponent Slovenian Cedevita Ol. (12-7) 81-77 on Sunday. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Igokea dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Cedevita Ol. 's 20. The best player for the winners was Serbian power forward Strahinja Gavrilovic (204-1993, college: USC, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 25 points and 8 rebounds. Serbian-Bosnian power forward Nikola Popovic (211-1997, college: Boston Coll.) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Igokea players scored in double figures. American point guard Umoja Gibson (185-1998, college: DePaul) produced 16 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and the other American import DJ Stewart Jr (197-1999, college: MSU) added 15 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Defending Bosnian champion maintains first place with 9-11 record, which they share with Bosna. Defending Slovenian champion Cedevita Ol. still keeps top position with seven games lost.
